Nice people here, plenty of room to back up in a long hood Freightliner Classic with a 53' van. Started loading as soon as I backed up to the dock.

Decent unloading time and there are few spots in front to park overnight which is nice. They have several warehouses on this street and some of them are difficult to back into when other trucks are backed in. By appointment only

Appointment needed, but will load early if not busy. I was in and out in less than a hour. Backing into docks can be tight if other trucks are there. Ladies in shipping and receiving very friendly.

By appointment 15 minutes early is okay. Driver tried to chk in 2hrs early no other truck unloading at time would not get him unloaded till 15 minutes before set appointment. 35 min unloading time once started. Parking in front lot.

Unload time are by appointment only... Only gripe I have is the woman checking you in. She's very adamant about mask. Most places you go aren't requiring masks. This is the only place I go to that requires a mask.

Our Mission Statement

Laney & Duke’s primary goal is to establish ourselves as a premier logistics provider in northeast Florida and the southeast by exceeding our customer’s expectations through innovation, efficiency, and superior service. 

Laney & Duke specializes in building relationships with our customers to develop practical solutions through honesty, experience, and commitment, as we focus on growing their business and satisfying their customers as well. 

HISTORY

  • 1929

    Established as Laney & Delcher Moving and Storage on East Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville

  • 1954

    Constructed first 50,000 square feet of warehouse space located at 1560 Jessie Street. By the late 1960’s Laney & Duke had built 316,000 square feet of space on Jessie Street.

  • 1965

    Created Land Trucking Company to support local delivery for warehouse customers and deliver to the entire state of Florida.

  • 1970

    Build another facility measuring 160,000 square feet in the north central part of Jacksonville with rail road service.

  • Late 1970's

    Added terminals in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando to support the freight consolidation business, and constructed another 104,000 square feet of space in the west side of Jacksonville for refrigerated product.

  • 1989

    Brian and Steve Duke began managing warehouses and supervising daily operations, as Laney & Duke serviced many Fortune 500 Companies such as Lever Brothers, Lipton, Colgate, and major cigarette accounts.

  • 2000

    Laney & Duke began contract warehousing operations in over 1M square feet for a single user in the clothing business.

  • 2017

    Laney & Duke continues to integrate and adapt to the changing needs of our customers as we service each customer one at a time through flexibility and excellent customer service.

  • 2019

    Laney & Duke warehousing now operates 500,000 square feet, with an added 5 acres of asphalt outside for a shingles operation. Inside the lighting has been changed to LEDs to cut down on energy use and make it brighter.
